Summary This role is responsible for end-to-end management of the complex SAP landscape encompassing multiple SAP products, including SAP s SaaS solutions. Deep technical expertise and hands‑on experience in SAP Systems Lifecycle management, Systems Maintenance and Operations, and supporting SAP Integration, GRC/Security and Development teams requirements, is needed.
Essential Job Duties
Design, build, test, and deploy SAP systems (S/4HANA, BTP services, CALM, SAC, Ariba, IBP, Datasphere)
Implement technical approaches for all SAP and non‑SAP systems integrating with SAP solutions and manage dependencies
Manage SAP system landscape operations and transports across different systems using CALM, cTMS, etc.
Plan and manage SAP system maintenance schedules, DR testing, in coordination with internal and external stakeholders (SAP ECS, RISE)
Apply SAP best practices for backup and recovery
Perform performance tuning and configuration, troubleshooting, and RCA for HANA DB, S/4HANA, and other SAP SaaS solutions
Understand Fiori roles and Workzone structure and setup
Implement, upgrade, and support latest SAP system versions on Windows/Linux OS and HANA DB
Leverage hyperscaler knowledge, preferably Azure and Google Cloud Platform, and infrastructure components (firewalls, load balancers)
Communicate status, issues, and risks to all stakeholders and cross‑functional teams
Implement CALM for backend SAP systems (change control, monitoring)
Manage risks and roadblocks to ensure timely project implementation
Collaborate with technical and non‑technical teams (Customer Support, Product Management, Engineering, QA) to resolve issues and escalations
SAP BTP Administration
Manage SAP BTP subaccounts, entitlements, service instances, and connectivity
Configure and administer SAP BTP services
Oversee BTP landscape setup and maintenance, including SSO with identity providers (e.g., SAP default, Okta)
Supporting Developments and Customizations
Provide SAP system administrative support to development teams using RAP, CAP, low‑code/no‑code technologies
Supporting Integrations
Implement integrations using SAP Cloud Connector, SAP Integration Suite, and APIs across SAP and non‑SAP products, ensuring secure and reliable integrations
Supporting SAP GRC and Security
Support SAP GRC and Security teams in establishing and enforcing best practices for SAP S/4HANA and SAP BTP security
Ensure compliance with governance and security practices
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
10-15 years of experience as a SAP Basis Administrator with hands‑on expertise
Experience in multiple SAP implementations, upgrades, conversions, migrations, including at least one greenfield implementation in the RISE with SAP context
Well versed with SAP MaxAttention, Enterprise Support procedures
Excellent verbal and written communication and problem‑solving skills
Strong ability to work on multiple projects concurrently and understand long‑term and short‑term perspectives
At least one SAP certification (S/4HANA System Administration, SAP HANA Database Administrator, SAP Fiori System Administration) or Solution Architect (SAP BTP, Build Work Zone, SAP Cloud ALM)
