Work with the Canviz solution delivery team to create technical documentation, diagrams, lab manuals, installation instructions, and screencast videos for custom web, cloud, mobile, and desktop products and applications. You will work with clients, product managers, business analysts, architects, and lead other developers throughout the development lifecycle to help create these artifacts. You will be working with cutting edge technologies, primarily within the Microsoft stack, including Microsoft Azure and Office 365.

Responsibilities

Determine the needs of end users of technical documentation.

Advise the best way to deliver information to audiences.

Create technical documentation, diagrams, lab manuals, installation instructions, and screencast videos for custom web, cloud, mobile, and desktop products and applications.

Create screencast videos for custom web, cloud, mobile, and desktop products and applications.

Edit and format material.

Publish videos to YouTube and other online video repositories.

Required Job Skills

5+ years’ experience working as a senior technical writer / video producer

Experience creating technical documentation, diagrams, lab manuals, installation instructions, and screencast videos for custom web, cloud, mobile, and desktop products and applications

Experience creating screencast videos for custom web, cloud, mobile, and desktop products and applications

Experience in publishing videos to YouTube

BA in Journalism, Writing, Computer Science, or Information Systems or equivalent required

Experience branding documentation and videos to match corporate style guidelines

Experience in making screencast videos to market and demonstrate products and systems

Strong understanding of video, web, multimedia, and emerging technologies.

Demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of video production and design.

Ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve technical and non-technical issues

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Proactive work approach and the ability to lead and make informed decisions

Nice to Have Job Skills

Experience working with off-shore development teams

Experience working with Office 365 and SharePoint and Azure

Required Technical Skills

Microsoft Office – PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook

Video production software like Camtasia

YouTube
