Akkodis is seeking a developer for a contract with a client in Richardson, TX/Chicago, IL. The candidate will be responsible for designing optimized mainframe workflows and integrating legacy systems with modern platforms.

Rate Range:

$49/hour to $58/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Developer Job Responsibilities

Develop, test, and maintain software applications that meet user and business requirements.

Write clean, scalable, and efficient code using appropriate programming languages and frameworks.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.

Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize existing code to improve performance and reliability.

Participate in code reviews and follow development best practices to ensure high-quality deliverables.

Stay current with emerging technologies and apply innovative solutions to enhance system functionality.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.

Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in software development.

Strong hands-on experience with AS400 development using RPGLE, Synon, and COBOL.

Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools like Hawkeye, Aldon, and RDi.

Pay Details:

$49.00 to $58.00 per hour
