Our Stabilized Vision Technology team is seeking a junior‑level Electrical Engineer to work with an agile team in the design and development of advanced electronics for stabilized airborne systems. This role involves designing and hands‑on testing of rugged, high‑performance systems for deployment across various manned and unmanned platforms. As a technical contributor, you’ll play a key role in designing new circuits, test beds, harnessing and system documentation—starting from fundamental physical principles and system requirements, through prototyping, debugging, testing, and integration into larger operational systems. The ideal candidate enjoys hands‑on work, thrives in a multidisciplinary environment, enjoys solving complex challenges collaboratively, and is passionate about electronic and electro‑optic system design.
This full‑time, exempt, non‑supervisory position is based in our Healdsburg, CA office.

Primary Responsibilities
Design, analyze, and test electronic circuits for high‑performance stabilized pointing and electro‑optic systems
Hands‑on test, troubleshooting, and rework of circuit boards, harnesses, and other electrical systems
Schematic capture and layout of boards working directly with senior engineers
Collaborate with engineering and science teams throughout the full product lifecycle—from concept through production and support
Align design and test strategies with system‑level objectives to ensure mission success

Experiences and Background We Look For
B.S. or M.S. in Electrical or Electronic Engineering; equivalent education or experience will be considered
Proficient in detailed PCB design
Experience completing schematic capture and PCB layout
Solid understanding of circuit fundamentals
Strong troubleshooting capability, including ability to operate electrical test equipment
Proven ability to take circuit boards through the full development cycle—from concept through production release
Ability to assemble or rework PCB and harness assemblies
Selected applicants will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
Nice to Have
Proficient in Altium Designer for schematic capture and PCB layout
Experience with SPICE for circuit simulation and analysis
Design experience in analog, digital, and power electronics
Hands‑on experience deploying and testing systems in real‑world field environments
Familiarity with microcontrollers and embedded system development
Hands‑on experience with Xilinx FPGAs, including Vivado and Vitis toolchains
Solid understanding of high‑speed digital and RF circuit design principles
Demonstrated success in producing production‑ready documentation for both circuit cards and system‑level assemblies
Active DoD security clearance
Salary Range
Engineer 1: $85,000 - $105,000 (BS degree or higher, with 0‑4 years’ experience)
Engineer 2: $95,000 - $110,000 (BS degree + 2‑4 years’ experience OR MS degree with 0‑2 years’ experience)
