Responsibilities This is a hybrid position in Portland, Oregon, and well-qualified U.S. candidates will also be considered. As a
Senior Electrical Engineer , you will:
- Oversee electrical design work and provide team technical leadership.
- Perform quality reviews of design packages and assist with complex portions of the design process.
- Interact directly with the client, owner, and contractors to assist construction on site.
- Provide engineering and design oversight for facility power distribution systems, grounding, lighting, and low‑voltage communications systems in complex industrial facilities.
- Prepare technical specifications and documents for bidding and construction and serve as the Electrical discipline lead or Quality Control reviewer in project meetings.
- Participate in project proposals and suggest solutions to clients.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering
At least 12 years of engineering design experience building electrical systems
Electrical design experience for semiconductor or mission‑critical facilities
Solid working knowledge of NFPA 70 (NEC) and IEEE standards
Extensive design experience with electrical power system equipment/components (switchgear, transformers, panelboards, generators, UPS, etc.)
Experience with power system software, preferably ETAP
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Team lead experience
Ideally, you’ll also have
Professional Engineer (PE) license
Senior technical leadership experience
Working knowledge of Revit or BIM software
Effective analytical and problem‑solving skills
