Job Description Project Manager Lead – Renewables, Energy Practice – US. Remote or multiple US locations. Responsible for managing renewable engineering projects from design to construction, ensuring coordination, quality, and client satisfaction.
Responsibilities
Supervision and Operations Support: Support Department Manager in advancing the culture of customer service excellence and accountability.
Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor a team of project managers through their individual and team development for greater utility to the organization and overall career satisfaction.
Process Improvements: Lead improvements in project efficiencies by creating, updating, and implementing group specific standards/templates.
Forecast Management: Responsible for team’s forecast management and tracking.
Proposal Support: Capture leadership to support business development activities.
Opportunity Identification: Identify project opportunities early and facilitate go/no-go decisions, determine project fees, write proposals, prepare and lead client presentations, and negotiate contracts.
Client Development: Manage key accounts and develop new accounts.
Recruiting Support: Actively support recruiting efforts.
Project Life Cycle: Support projects through complete life cycle including feasibility, preliminary and detailed design, issue-for-bid, construction, start-up, and commissioning.
Project Participation
Overall project management; function as project manager/program manager.
Ownership of internal project financials, staffing, legal coordination, and risk management.
Planning and kickoff meetings to ensure alignment among all project stakeholders.
Oversee design process, including conducting design reviews and equipment fabrication reviews at key milestones (30%, 60%, 100% design completion).
Work with technical delivery team and subcontractors to confirm deliverables and services exceed client satisfaction.
Deliver projects in accordance with the AECOM QMS process.
Level Specific Responsibilities
Overall management administration to project and assist in establishing project specific objectives and policies.
Provide management and guidance to subordinate managers, enforce company and project policies, and act as primary liaison between AECOM and client interface.
Oversee and ensure all facets of the project are constructed in accordance with design, budget, and schedule through subordinate managers and supervisors.
Responsible for administering the project from budgeting/schedule stage through procurement and contract closeout. Position has significant profit/loss responsibility for assigned project.
Qualifications
BS/BA degree +8 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
Project Management experience directly related to renewable engineering projects.
Demonstrated experience delivering complex projects and/or programs with high quality on schedule and within scope and budget.
Preferred Qualifications
Project Management Professional (PMP).
Professional Engineering Licensure (PE).
+15 Years of relevant experience, including project management, program management, engineering of renewables.
Experience managing projects worked in collaborative model environments (e.g. Navisworks).
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively manage diverse teams and stakeholders.
Proven ability to manage large-scale, complex projects in a fast-paced environment.
Experience with facilitating design reviews and equipment fabrication reviews.
Demonstrated success working in a remote team environment.

Compensation Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $160,000.00 - $205,000.00.
