Job Summary Under the supervision of the Program Supervisor, the Program Coordinator assists in overseeing support for assigned participants. The coordinator is responsible for supervisory tasks, provides personal care supports as needed, and ensures compliance with the Guiding Values of the Developmental Disabilities Administration (DDA). The role requires interaction with program participants and the agency mission.
Day‑to‑Day Responsibilities
Assist the Program Supervisor and provide participant supports that meet individual needs.
Adjust staffing schedules and cover staff absences or vacations; work direct support shifts as needed.
Provide on‑site training to new staff.
Monitor petty cash funds and complete related activities.
Maintain participant home upkeep, notify appropriate personnel of concerns, and assist with resolutions.
Review participant documentation and discuss with supervisor regularly.
Attend Person Centered Planning meetings and contribute to the development and implementation of participant Individualized Interagency and Support Plans (IISPs).
Encourage and support participants in goal setting and record progress toward IISP goals.
Assist participants with decorating personal living spaces and train staff on personal choice and self‑determination.
Track routine tasks, activity calendars, cleaning schedules, agency vehicle maintenance, grocery shopping, adaptive equipment, and safety checks.
Maintain professional relationships with participants’ families, vocational staff, DDA, and other service providers.
Attend staff meetings, seminars, and annual training requirements.
Complete mandatory first‑aid, CPR, blood‑borne pathogens, mandated reporter, 12 continuing‑education hours, and vehicle operation training.
Qualifications
Minimum 18 years of age.
Associate degree or equivalent, or high school diploma/GED with 3+ years of social service experience.
Washington State driver’s license with current vehicle insurance; qualify for company insurance cover.
Background inquiry clearance from an authorized state agency.
Basic to intermediate proficiency with Outlook, Word, Excel, and willingness to learn new software.
Effective oral and written communication skills; customer‑service oriented.
Sound judgment, decision‑making ability, and adaptability to individual client needs.
Knowledge of personal care skills and the ability to provide care and support.
Demonstrated ability to recognize and adjust to individual differences in personality and medication protocols.
Compensation Starting Wage : $28.00 per hour.
Wage Scale : $28.00–$33.60 per hour.
