Fairview Health Services is seeking a
Pediatric Hospitalist
physician to join the Pediatric Blood and Bone Marrow Transplant Team and provide clinical care at
M Health Fairview University of Minnesota Masonic Children’s Hospital .
The Pediatric Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) Hospitalist Service provides 24/7/365 inpatient coverage in collaboration with a multidisciplinary care team. Hospitalists are fully integrated into a provider team that includes faculty physicians, pediatric hematology/oncology, BMT fellows, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants. Work a rotating schedule that includes day, evening, overnight, and weekend shifts. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast‑paced, high‑acuity environment and is eager to contribute to a dynamic, research‑driven program caring for children and adolescents with life‑threatening conditions.
Responsibilities
Admit new patients with complex conditions and manage the care of existing patients experiencing transplant‑related complications.
Develop and manage treatment plans, evaluate and care for acutely ill patients.
Coordinate closely with the broader BMT team and maintain clear, compassionate communication with patients and families.
Work a rotating schedule that includes day, evening, overnight, and weekend shifts.
Practice Details
Team of 5 Hospitalist Physicians, APPs, 10 academic physicians and other interdisciplinary team members.
24‑bed pediatric Blood and Marrow Transplant unit.
Openings: 0.8 FTE.
Multidisciplinary team approach and fully integrated Electronic Medical Record (EPIC).
Pioneer Accountable Care Organization (ACO) and market‑competitive compensation program.
