Role and Responsibilities
The PBM Data Analyst at Liviniti summarizes, analyzes, and interprets pharmaceutical data to support strategic decision‑making. Data Collection and Management
Gather and compile pharmacy and healthcare data from claims, prescriptions, and pharmacy networks. Validate and clean data to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
Data Analysis and Reporting
Identify trends, patterns, and anomalies using statistical techniques. Perform cost‑benefit and cost‑effectiveness studies to optimize financial and clinical outcomes. Create reports, dashboards, and visualizations with Domo, Tableau, or Power BI. Compare data across time periods and customer types to assess plan effectiveness.
Predictive Modeling and Forecasting
Project future pharmacy benefit program costs and utilization patterns. Assess impact of benefit design changes on costs and patient outcomes.
Compliance and Regulatory Support
Ensure pharmacy benefit programs comply with healthcare regulations and data privacy laws. Assist in audits and compliance reporting.
Program Optimization and Collaboration
Recommend optimizations for formulary management, prior authorization criteria, and cost‑saving strategies. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to implement recommended changes. Implement data validation processes to maintain data integrity.
Communication and Technical Skills
Communicate complex analyses clearly to diverse audiences. Develop best practices for answering client benefit questions. Proficiency in SQL, Python, or R and familiarity with Domo or Power BI. Familiarity with PBM software and pharmacy claims processing systems.
Additional Responsibilities
Maintain confidentiality of sensitive medical information and comply with HIPAA Privacy and Security Rules. Report HIPAA violations to the Compliance Officer or Human Resources. Complete required HIPAA training.
Skills and Competencies
Strong analytical skills and proficiency in SQL, Python, or R. Understanding of pharmacy benefit terminology, formulary management, and medication pricing. Previous experience in healthcare analytics or pharmacy benefit management. Excellent communication and presentation skills.
