Overview We are seeking a technically strong AV Project Engineer to lead and support the integration and commissioning of enterprise‑grade audio‑visual systems in corporate environments. This role blends project oversight with hands‑on technical work, making it ideal for someone with a background in AV service and system implementation who is comfortable managing projects and performing on‑site commissioning.
This is a hybrid position with approximately 50% travel across the U.S., supporting installations, testing, and client‑facing coordination. All travel expenses are covered.
Key Responsibilities
Lead AV system implementations from planning through deployment
Perform hands‑on integration and commissioning of AV systems
Coordinate installation teams and ensure project milestones are met
Review and validate AV system schematics, BOMs, and technical documentation
Provide technical leadership on AV control systems (Crestron, Extron, QSC, etc.)
Collaborate with IT and network teams to ensure seamless AV integration
Conduct site visits for system testing, troubleshooting, and client handovers
Maintain documentation and ensure compliance with AV industry standards
Act as a technical liaison between stakeholders, vendors, and internal teams
Stay current with AV‑over‑IP technologies and emerging platforms
Preferred Background
Strong experience in AV service delivery, integration, and commissioning
Hands‑on experience with AV control systems and IP‑based AV solutions
Experience working in corporate AV environments (e.g., conference rooms, executive spaces, collaboration areas)
Prior experience in a project engineering or technical management role
Excellent communication, coordination, and client‑facing skills
Comfortable managing multiple projects and priorities
Willingness to travel frequently and work in dynamic environments
Nice‑to‑Have Skills
Experience with AV system design and layout
Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar design tools
Ability to interpret architectural and MEP drawings
Familiarity with building automation systems and AV‑over‑IP platforms
Certifications (Encouraged But Not Required)
CTS (Certified Technology Specialist)
CTS‑D (Certified Technology Specialist – Design)
Audiovisual Network Professional® Certification

Travel Requirement: 50% travel across the U.S. — candidates must be comfortable with frequent travel; all expenses are covered
