Responsibilities

Produce innovative menus that reflect the restaurant’s vision.

Train kitchen staff to adhere to policies and sanitation regulations.

Organize, schedule, and direct kitchen operations for speed and effectiveness.

Design aesthetic plating presentations and meet hygiene standards.

Maintain kitchen inventory and budget, minimizing waste and over‑production.

Provide friendly, service‑oriented guest and employee interactions.

Ensure all kitchen personnel fulfill job functions appropriately.

Assume leadership in meeting departmental objectives and goals.

Perform spot checks for menu accuracy and taste; review food sales daily.

Comply with certifications (Food Handlers, Alcohol Awareness, CPR, First Aid) and company standards.

Qualifications

Typically requires a Bachelor's degree and 2–4 years of experience in a high‑volume, full‑service restaurant.

Possesses comprehensive knowledge of subject matter and performs work under minimal supervision.

Provides leadership, coaching, and mentoring to a subordinate group.

Proficient in Windows operating systems, approved spreadsheets, and word processing.

Flexible schedule and ability to convey information and ideas clearly.

Quick and accurate decision making under pressure while solving workplace problems.

Strong financial literacy and basic arithmetic functions.

Maintains composure and objectivity while under pressure.
