Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA preferred.
7+ years progressive accounting experience; 3+ years in a Controller or senior accounting role.
Experience in the AEC (Architecture, Engineering, Construction) industry preferred.
Expertise with Deltek Vantagepoint ERP required.
Experience with FAR required.
Strong understanding of project‑based accounting and multi‑state operations.
Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and leadership skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities Oversee all accounting operations including billing, A/R, A/P, GL, cost accounting, revenue recognition, project accounting, and payroll. Manage month‑end and year‑end closing processes and financial reporting. Ensure compliance with GAAP, federal/state regulations, and internal policies. Prepare overhead rate and coordinate with external auditors for annual FAR audit. Prepare DOT qualifications. Maintain and optimize Deltek Vantagepoint ERP for accurate project tracking, reporting, and invoicing. Coordinate with external tax preparers, insurance providers, and valuation firm. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws. Administer 401(k) and ESOP plans and coordinate with auditors for annual audits. Monitor and improve internal controls, policies, and procedures. Support executive leadership with financial analysis and strategic insights. Supervise and mentor accounting staff and ensure professional development.
