Overview
The Colorado Department of Revenue (CDOR) seeks an Auditor I to conduct revenue audits, compliance reviews, and stakeholder training within the Division of Gaming. The role supports CDOR’s mission to provide trusted, ethical, and inclusive services to Coloradans. Primary Duties
Perform revenue audits and compliance reviews of gaming licensees, applying audit programs and internal control minimum procedures. Develop findings and recommend actions to bring licensees into compliance with ICMP or gaming regulations. Assist in the evaluation of gaming technology to ensure proper calculation and reporting of Adjusted Gross Proceeds. Answer technical inquiries of licensees, clarify rules, regulations, and ICMP interpretation, and promote a positive image of the Division. Qualifications
Five (5) years of relevant auditing experience, or current valid CPA license from the Colorado Board of Accountancy or current valid CIA certificate (substitutes for five years). Background investigation and tax check prior to appointment. Valid driver’s license (at the time of application). Preferred Qualifications
Exceptional communication and analytical/problem‑solving skills. State Auditing experience in a regulatory environment. Proven ability to work independently and accept supervision. Attention to detail and success organizing and tracking workload. Experience with TeamMate audit management software and Google Suite products. EEO Statement
