JOB SUMMARY This is a Tax Auditor II position in the General Tax Administration Program, Refunds and Revenue Accounting Process, Refunds Unit. The incumbent independently performs moderately complex refund audits of taxpayers conducting business in Florida and examines, analyzes, or interprets accounting records or investigates financial information for the purposes of giving advice or preparing statements or reports to ensure correct processing of refund claims by the Department.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Currently employed with the Florida Department of Revenue.
Two years of experience working within the System for Unified Taxation (SUNTAX) reviewing and analyzing account balances.
Experience using Microsoft Office.
Experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or positions conducting financial-related transactions.
PREFERENCES
Experience performing reemployment tax audits within the Refunds process or any related process.
SALARY The hiring salary for this position generally will not exceed $4,228.11 monthly/$50,737.36 annually.
