Actalent . We are seeking a dedicated Staff Vehicle Security Engineer to take ownership of the security validation for vehicle ECUs. This role involves ensuring that software requirements are clear, complete, and testable, and creating a comprehensive test plan that outlines the testing approach, objectives, scope, resources, and schedule. Responsibilities
Own the security validation of vehicle ECUs. Ensure software requirements are clear, complete, and testable. Create a comprehensive test plan outlining the testing approach, objectives, scope, resources, and schedule. Identify opportunities to improve validation processes, testing methodologies, and overall product quality. Build test infrastructure and automated testing. Document issues in detail and collaborate with developers to resolve them. Essential Skills
Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent. 5+ years of experience in automation scripting languages such as Python, Shell, or other languages. Experience in verification of security features such as Secure Boot, OTP fuzes, Secure Update, JTAG, etc. Passionate about embedded systems testing and networking testing. 5+ years of experience in testing networking and/or automotive products. Experience with automotive protocols (DoIP, UDS, LIN, and CAN). Good programming/scripting knowledge for developing automation scripts. Confident in writing/maintaining test cases and acceptance test plans. At least 4 years of experience in developing test cases on embedded Linux platforms. Experience in using automation test tools and stress test tools. Strong debugging and analytical skills. Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with Python, Secure Boot, JTAG, validation, CAN protocol, and embedded Linux. Work Environment
The position is based onsite in Southfield, MI, with working hours from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm. The team environment is flexible, allowing for both independence and collaboration. Pay And Benefits
Pay range $65.00 - $85.00/hr.
