Job Summary
Associate Software Engineer-Developer for the CITS Software team located at Tinker AFB in Oklahoma City, OK. Focus on supporting Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) business and developing operational flight software for the B-1 Bomber. Position Responsibilities
Assist with design, development, test, and maintenance of non-embedded software throughout the end-to-end lifecycle. Support software development on agile teams tasked with integrating solutions onto a platform. Develop high-fidelity simulation and environment software and toolsets to enable rapid development, test, and deployment of high-quality software solutions for war-fighter missions. Use analytical problem-solving skills to resolve problems for the company and suppliers. Apply engineering skills to deliver improved weapon system capabilities to customers. Apply engineering knowledge to continuously improve processes and tools. Gather information to translate customer requirements into initial design of software products. Assist with development, maintenance, enhancement, and optimization of software products and functionalities for systems integrations. Assist with development, documentation, and maintenance of architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces, and designs for software products. Assist with debugging and resolution of issues identified to ensure reliability and efficiency of software products. Participate in handling user inquiries, troubleshooting technical issues, and user feedback analysis. Assist with implementation of current and emerging technologies, tools, frameworks, and changes in regulations relevant to software development. Assist in developing, establishing, monitoring, and improving software processes, tools, and key performance metrics that align projects with organizational goals and industry benchmarks. Provide information to execute and document software research and development projects. Gather information to perform software project management activities and supplier management functions. Assist in tracking and evaluating software team and supplier performance to ensure product and process compliance with project plans and industry standards. Basic Qualifications
Experience developing and using languages such as C++, C, Ada, or C#. Willingness to relocate to Oklahoma City, OK if not already residing locally. Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor of Science degree in a relevant technical field. At least 2 years of related work experience or equivalent education and experience. Experience developing embedded real-time software and hardware. Experience with real-time operating systems (RTOS). Experience developing models and simulation. Experience with Agile software development. Experience with modern software development tools such as Jira, Confluence, Jenkins, Git. Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate with stakeholders of different backgrounds. On‑Site Requirement
Position requires 100% onsite presence at Tinker AFB, Oklahoma City, OK. Security Clearance
