Seeking a nurturing and dedicated individual to provide high-quality early childhood education to children ages two and under in Casa Central’s Early Learning Academy. The Early Head Start Teacher creates a positive, developmentally appropriate classroom environment that promotes each child’s cognitive, social, and emotional growth while engaging families as partners in their child’s learning journey. Ideal candidates will be passionate about supporting young children’s development and ensuring school readiness in alignment with Early/Head Start standards. This position offers an annual salary of $46,500 along with medical, dental, vision, paid time off, 401(k), and other voluntary benefits.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement lesson plans using Creative Curriculum, incorporating data from assessments and individualized education plans (IEPs/IFSPs).
Observe, assess, and document children’s development in Teaching Strategies GOLD and maintain up-to-date child portfolios.
Provide individualized, developmentally appropriate learning experiences that support each child’s cognitive, social, and emotional growth.
Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment through effective classroom management and Conscious Discipline practices.
Collaborate with parents/families through conferences, home visits, and ongoing communication about child progress.
Ensure compliance with Early/Head Start, COA, and local licensing standards, including health, safety, and active supervision requirements.
Participate in professional development, coaching, and training to enhance teaching effectiveness and maintain required credentials.
Maintain accurate documentation, reports, and attendance records; assist with recruitment and enrollment efforts.
Qualifications
Infant/Toddler CDA or Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education with infant/toddler coursework required.
Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred.
Experience working with infants, toddlers, and families in an early learning or Head Start environment.
Knowledge of Creative Curriculum, Teaching Strategies GOLD, and Conscious Discipline preferred.
Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills.
Sensitivity to and respect for cultural and individual differences.
