The Impact You’ll Make in this Role As an
Analytical Data Science Manager , you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:
Managing and leading a team of analytical data scientists
Developing strong relationships with key division customers and executing on operational goals
Developing strategies for technical programs, developing appropriate IP strategy and portfolio
Developing HR plans (identify needed skill sets, create progression/succession plans and establish relationships with key sources and future talent)
Other duties as assigned
Your Skills and Expertise To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or higher in a science or engineering discipline (completed and verified prior to start)
Five (5) years of laboratory data science or digital solution research experience in a private, public, government or military environment
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
Experience managing data scientists and/or software developers
Experience with analytical or materials science data and technology development
Experience leading multidisciplinary research teams/projects
Excellent problem-solving and analysis skills
Results driven, self-motivated and strong team-building skills
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Work location:
On-site (Maplewood, MN)
Travel: May include up to 5% domestic travel
Relocation Assistance: May be authorized
