Associate Accountant - Interstate Revenue

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Compilation of SOX control documentation and development of related procedures
Monthly submissions of volumetric data to Government agencies
Record monthly entries for financial statements
Prepare analysis of natural gas inventories and transportation and storage revenues
Analysis of operational gas purchases, sales and payments of contract storage agreements and/or operational gas purchased/sold
Reconciliation of accounts
Reconciliation of various accounts and be able to prepare and provide variance explanations
Utilizes skills gained from classes/exposure for AI capabilities

Requirements Education and/or Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities To Perform This Job Successfully, An Individual Must Be Able To Perform Each Essential Job Duty Satisfactorily. The Requirements For This Position Are Listed Below:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
Experience: 0-2 years of relevant work experience
Required Skills: Microsoft Office products – proficient in Excel
Technical Skills: SAP knowledge is preferred
Preferred Qualifications:
Strong attention to detail
Flexibility with ability to work in a team setting
Solid time management skills; ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines
Problem solving with ability to recognize issues and address them directly
Personable, positive attitude with clear verbal and written communication
Utilizes AI-related skills as applicable
Required Experience Is Commensurate With The Selected Job Level
The Associate Specialist/Analyst level requires a Bachelor’s degree and 0-2 years of relevant job related experience
The Specialist/Analyst level requires a Bachelor’s degree and 2-5 years of relevant job related experience
Working Conditions
Usually, normal office working conditions
Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time
Occasional overnight travel may be required
Occasional visits to industrial/manufacturing settings with exposure to materials, chemicals, extreme temperatures, loud machinery, and required PPE
