This opportunity includes the feel of a small law firm, yet has the chance to explore a diverse variety of law within a sizable practice. We have developed and maintained a respected track record for counseling clients on commercial and personal matters. Our practice has a strong focus on commercial litigation, estate and trust planning and litigation, and real estate transactions and litigation. PTO: 15 Days + 11 firm-observed holidays
A monthly stipend for health insurance if no coverage available through spouse/domestic partner
Annual performance-based bonus
SEP IRA, once eligible
Professional development opportunities, including allowance for annual CLEs, Bar fees, and networking memberships, aligned with business development for the firm
Responsibilities:
Manage real estate transactions from beginning to end, including negotiating buyer/seller contracts, preparing and reviewing transfer documents, and coordinating with office personnel
Review title reports and address any exceptions/issues that may arise
Manage and conduct closings efficiently and professionally
Oversee and coordinate basic estate planning intake and drafting
Support the trusts and estates department on property transfers
Prepare filings for uncontested trusts & estates proceedings
Provide support in real estate litigation matters, including through review and analysis of real estate documents
Maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication/responsiveness
Contribute to business development initiatives, with the opportunity to build and grow a personal book of business
Requirements:
4+ years of transactional real estate law + litigation (must include residential) OR a combination of transactional real estate law + trusts & estates law
Familiarity with condo/co-op governing documents and transactions
Proficiency navigating the ACRIS database
Experience reviewing title reports and resolving related issues
Strong client relations and interpersonal communication skills
A willingness to support and practice in different areas of law, including commercial litigation, trusts & estates and commercial transactions
An openness to business development and cultivating a personal client base
It Would be a Bonus if You Have:
Litigation experience - a big plus!
Commercial transactions experience (entity formation, operating agreements, etc.)
An existing book of business
A driver's license
