Key Job Responsibilities
Handle challenging problems that directly impact millions of creators and customers
Independently collect and analyze data
Develop and deliver scalable predictive models, using any necessary programming, machine learning, and statistical analysis software
Collaborate with other scientists, engineers, product managers, and business teams to creatively solve problems, measure and estimate risks, and constructively critique peer research
Consult with engineering teams to design data and modeling pipelines that interface with new and existing software
Participate in design and implementation across teams to contribute to initiatives and develop optimal solutions that benefit the creators organization
Basic Qualifications
PhD, or Master’s degree and 2+ years of CS, CE, ML, or related field experience
Experience programming in Java, C++, Python, or related language
2+ years of building models for business applications
2+ years of hands‑on predictive modeling and large‑data analysis experience
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in designing experiments and statistical analysis of results
Experience in investigating, designing, prototyping, and delivering new and innovative system solutions

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $136,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign‑on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
