Posted On: Fri Oct 10 2025 The primary responsibility of the accounting and business tutor is to provide one-on-one or group support to students who are currently enrolled in accounting and business courses. The tutor's work is informed by best practices and the mission of TASC.
The Professional Accounting/Business Tutor will also be responsible for the following:
Assisting students with homework, projects, test preparation, papers, research and other academic assignments.
Demonstrating academic best practices for specific subjects and assignments, including research and writing.
Working with students to help them understand key concepts, especially those learned in the classroom.
Providing students positive and constructive feedback.
Building meaningful connections with students from diverse backgrounds.
Attending staff meetings several times each semester.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in accounting, business, or a related area is required.
Ability to work independently.
Proven ability to work with a faculty, staff, and student population.
The tutor is needed three weekdays 9am to 5pm in-person on the Charlestown campus.
Preferred Requirements:
Master's degree is preferred.
1+ years of tutoring or related experience preferred.
Additional Information: Salary: $35.31 an hour at 18.5 hours a week. Part-Time Non-Benefited position.
