We are seeking a Cyber Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) Senior Project Manager to lead cybersecurity initiatives related to acquisition projects.
This role is responsible for managing the full project lifecycle—from planning and due diligence to integration and post-deal execution.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cybersecurity project management, exceptional leadership and communication skills, and a proven ability to deliver complex projects on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
1. Project Leadership and Delivery
Lead the end-to-end lifecycle of cybersecurity M&A projects, including strategy, requirements gathering, implementation, testing, deployment, and post-go-live support. Provide regular updates on project status, risks, and milestones to ensure alignment with organizational goals. 2. Risk Assessment and Mitigation
Identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with cybersecurity integration and acquisition activities. Integrate risk management practices into all phases of project planning and execution. 3. Stakeholder Engagement and Change Management
Serve as the primary point of contact for cybersecurity M&A projects. Foster strong relationships with business leaders, IT teams, compliance, and external vendors. Lead change management efforts including training, documentation, and communication planning. 4. Resource and Budget Management
Develop and manage project budgets, allocate resources, and track expenditures. Report financials and ensure efficient use of resources to meet project goals. Lead service and delivery teams, promoting a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability. Inspire teams to achieve project goals while aligning with organizational values. Required Qualifications
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Business Management, or a related field. Preferred: Master’s degree or certifications such as PMP, CISSP. Experience
Minimum 10 years of professional experience, including 6+ years in IT and 4+ years in cybersecurity project management. Proven experience managing large-scale cybersecurity acquisition projects. Skills
Expertise in cybersecurity portfolio and program management. Strong knowledge of the NIST/NICE framework. Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex, high-impact projects. Strategic thinking with a focus on continuous improvement and innovation. Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder engagement skills. Proficiency in project governance, resource planning, and budget management. Ability to mentor others in professional judgment and cybersecurity ethics.
