Senior Software Developer (AI Solutions) The Senior Software Developer, AI Solutions is a hybrid role responsible for developing, implementing, and supporting enterprise-level applications while building and applying artificial intelligence and machine learning solutions.

This role covers the full scope of software development and legacy product support, including designing user interfaces, object-oriented coding, unit and integration testing, troubleshooting, and resolving software bugs, while expanding further into AI-driven initiatives.

In addition, the position is tasked with developing tools that automate data monitoring, enhancing research workflows, and integrating diverse external and internal data sources into scalable systems.

The Senior Software Developer, AI Solutions combines strong software engineering fundamentals with modern AI/ML expertise to deliver innovative capabilities that expand product value and enable new customer insights.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Data Integration & Automation

Connect, clean, and normalize multiple external and internal data sources into a unified system.

Build APIs, ETL pipelines, and data workflows that make new datasets available across the platform.

AI & System Development

Apply AI/ML techniques to automate data monitoring and research tasks.

Develop internal tools that improve efficiency for team workflows.

Web Scraping & Monitoring

Design scalable scraping systems to capture public data (permits, filings, interconnection queues).

Implement monitoring and alerting to detect new signals of market activity.

Product Enablement

Partner with product and research teams to turn raw data into customer-facing features.

Create new insights from our various datasets that directly expand platform value and revenue opportunities.

The Individual

Strong software engineering background

Demonstrated knowledge of Python, Node.js, or similar languages

Hands-on experience building ETL pipelines, APIs, and system integrations

Ability to design and maintain scraping systems (BeautifulSoup, Scrapy, Selenium, or equivalent)

Experience applying AI/ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, or modern LLM APIs) to real business problems

Knowledge of cloud infrastructure and data pipelines (AWS, Azure, GCP)

Entrepreneurial builder who thrives in fast-moving environments, can spot opportunities, prototype quickly, and scale what works

Comfortable working cross-functionally with product managers, researchers, and sales teams

Qualifications

Ability to work in our Dallas, TX office full-time

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the technical knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required.

At least 5-8 years of hands-on experience with a combination of the following technologies:

Libraries & Frameworks: Spring (Java), Hibernate (Java), ArcGIS (optional but highly recommended), VueJS (optional but highly recommended)

Servers: MySQL, Tomcat, Apache

SCM: Git/Github
