Responsibilities
Stay Alert: Monitor assigned residents continuously and prevent leaving the client area without assistance.
Safety First: Use verbal de‑escalation to redirect behaviors and, if necessary, employ CPI techniques to maintain safety.
Be the Fun Facilitator: Run the daily schedule and participate in group sessions and events with enthusiasm.
Connect Daily: Facilitate daily phone calls for clients to keep them connected with their support systems.
Document with Style: Complete daily shift notes for each client to track progress and concerns.
Team Communication: Share insights and concerns with the house/pod treatment teams to ensure all are on the same page regarding client needs.
Transportation Hero: Safely transport residents for community outings and meetings in a company vehicle.
Policy Pro: Maintain compliance with all policies, record‑keeping requirements, and documentation duties.
Stay Sharp: Keep up to date with all required trainings and certifications to maintain your role at Newport Healthcare.
Support Your House: Provide support to your assigned house with flexibility to change assignments based on operational needs.
Other Duties as Assigned: Be ready to take on additional tasks that help our mission shine.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required.
Bachelor’s degree in psychology, counseling, or sociology preferred.
Prior work experience in behavioral health treatment settings a plus.
Must have a valid driver’s license and be eligible for insurance coverage for driving the company’s vehicles.
Must become CPI and CPR certified within first 30 days.
Compensation for this role ranges from $20-$24.00 per hour depending on education and experience.
