The Dual Account Manager will be based in Spokane, Washington, covering Eastern Washington, Northern Idaho, and Montana.

Responsible for selling Tennant's Industrial and Commercial lines of equipment, through various channels (Direct, Strategic Accounts, Distribution), and achieving the annual gross profit plan for both the Industrial and Commercial business for the assigned geography. Grow Tennant’s Industrial and Commercial machine, service, and parts business in assigned geography. Key metrics include year over year growth, gross profit improvements, and attaining Major Business Objectives (MBO’s) as set each year by sales management.

General Responsibilities

Performs sales calls (face to face, emails, and phone calls) on existing and new target accounts

Supports Existing customers (SA included)

Surveys customer’s and prospect’s facilities and makes Tennant solution recommendations

Quotes and demos recommended products

Make cold calls on accounts, to ensure development of new accounts and market penetration

Calls on existing customers to ensure their satisfaction with our products and after sale support

Trains operators on new equipment that arrives into their facilities

Continually presents our solutions to customer base, maintaining existing customer base

Partners with Distributors, Strategic Accounts, service, and other channels of Tennant’s business

Executes commercial and industrial sales strategies in the assigned geography

Works with distributors and their sales reps in the sales field to grow distribution

Educates, demonstrates, prospects, and closes or helps close deals with distribution and their representatives

Manages channel conflict and day to day customer issues in the assigned territory

Cleans and maintains company demo equipment, vehicle and trailer

Manages, controls, and takes responsibly for assigned company demo inventory

Required Experience, Skills & Education

Associate’s Degree

3+ years outside sales experience and history of progressive sales results

Exceptional business related skills including the ability to develop business strategies

Demonstrated experience with high level contacts and interaction with people at all levels within an organization

Effective negotiation, organization, time management, and prioritization skills

Proven ability to prospect, propose, negotiate and close a sale

Proficiency with MS Office applications with familiarity using sales and customer tracking software (CRM)

Must be able to meet DOT requirements and reporting procedures. Must pull trailers as per DOT regulations and safety

Must meet physical requirements of the position including ability to hook up trailers and load demonstration gear

Preferred Experience & Education

Bachelor’s Degree or higher

Prior experience in the commercial or industrial cleaning industry

Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $62,400 - $93,600

Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. Tennant Sales and Service Co. reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualifications of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity. Total Compensation = Base Salary + Benefits
