Our client is a specialist in the design, manufacture, and installation of bespoke industrial control panels and automation systems. Due to continued growth, they are now seeking a skilled Electrician to join their production team.

\n \nThe Role\n

As an Electrician, you will play a key role in the manufacture, wiring, and installation of bespoke control panels and automation systems. The role offers a mix of workshop-based work and site installations, with some travel and overnight stays required. This is an exciting opportunity to work on varied projects and be part of a growing business delivering high-quality automation solutions.

\n \nKey Responsibilities\n

    Manufacture bespoke control panels to electrical schematics and build standards

    \n

  • \n

  • \n

    Install panels and wiring onto customer machines (in-house and at customer sites)

    \n

  • \n

  • \n

    Investigate and rectify faults on control systems, with support where needed

    \n

  • \n

  • \n

    Supervise and mentor junior team members to ensure safe and accurate work

    \n

  • \n

  • \n

    Source and prepare materials to meet project schedules

    \n

  • \n

  • \n

    Work to delivery dates and allocated build hours, including occasional overtime and weekend work

    \n

  • \n

  • \n

    Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work environment

    \n

  • \n

  • \n

    Suggest and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and performance

    \n

  • \n

\n \nSkills & Experience Required\n

    \n
  • \n

    Proven experience in control panel building and machine wiring, ideally in automation or industrial machinery

    \n

  • \n

  • \n

    Strong ability to read and interpret electrical schematics

    \n

  • \n

  • \n

    Practical fault-finding and rectification experience

    \n

  • \n

  • \n

    Relevant electrical qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds)

    \n

  • \n

  • \n

    Organised, proactive, and deadline-focused

    \n

  • \n

  • \n

    Willingness to work overtime, travel, and stay away overnight when required

    \n

  • \n

  • \n

    Supervisory or mentoring experience desirable

    \n

  • \n

  • \n

    Strong communication and teamwork skills

    \n
