The Accounting Manager will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the accounting department, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting, maintaining internal controls, and supporting strategic financial planning. This role is critical in managing the financial integrity of our manufacturing operations and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and lead the accounting team, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and fixed assets.
Oversee the monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing process and prepare accurate financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
Coordinate and support internal and external audits, including preparation of audit schedules and responding to auditor inquiries.
Analyze financial data and provide insights to management to support decision-making and operational efficiency.
Develop, document, and improve accounting processes and procedures.
Collaborate with manufacturing operations, supply chain, and other departments to ensure accurate cost accounting and inventory valuation.
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
Manage ERP systems and drive process improvements and system enhancements.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master’s degree or CPA preferred).
5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
Experience in manufacturing or industrial sectors strongly preferred.
Solid knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and Microsoft Excel.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
