Overview
COMPANY is seeking a hands‑on Production Supervisor to lead daily operations at our food processing facility. This role ensures safety, quality, and efficiency across all production activities. You’ll manage a team of 10–12 employees, collaborate with leadership and QA, and help drive continuous improvement. Ideal candidates are bilingual (Spanish/English), detail‑oriented, and ready to grow into a leadership role.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular safety trainings and toolbox talks
- Investigate incidents and maintain safety records
- Serve on the Safety Committee and ensure OSHA compliance
- Identify and report facility safety concerns
- Drive employee engagement and morale aligned with company values
- Coach and develop team members
- Lead by example and demonstrate AF leadership traits
- Ensure compliance with USDA, FDA, and SQF standards
- Maintain strong relationships with USDA inspectors
- Validate food safety documentation across multiple sites
- Support audit readiness and product consistency
- Oversee daily plant operations and performance
- Plan staffing based on budget and production needs
- Manage equipment and facility upkeep
- Execute production schedules and ensure material availability
- Promote continuous improvement initiatives
- Monitor KPIs to reduce waste and improve yield
- Report costs and recommend process improvements
- Maintain accurate inventory and rotation practices
Supervisory Duties
- Hire, train, and evaluate production staff
- Assign tasks and manage workflow
- Address employee concerns and foster development
- Ensure operational efficiency and team accountability
Qualifications
- Strong planning and organizational skills
- Ability to perform essential duties (accommodations available)
- Minimum 5 years in food manufacturing (preferred)
- Fluent in Spanish and English (required)
- HACCP and Food Service certifications
- Familiarity with USDA/FDA regulations (required)
- Proven leadership and budget management experience
