About the Program
Dr. Inzinna Psychological Services PLLC (DIPS) offers a
comprehensive, generalist Doctoral Internship in Health Service Psychology
providing advanced training in psychotherapy, psychological assessment, consultation, and professional development within a collaborative hybrid outpatient setting.
The internship is designed to prepare emerging psychologists for competent, ethical, and reflective practice across diverse client populations. Because DIPS accepts insurance and operates via both telehealth and in-person modalities, interns gain rich experience serving
culturally and socioeconomically diverse clients , including those who might otherwise face barriers to care.

Success means developing competence across APA’s nine profession-wide competencies—becoming confident in evidence-based treatment, psychological assessment, ethical decision-making, and cultural humility. Interns who complete this program are well prepared for
postdoctoral fellowships and licensure-track positions
in health service psychology.
Responsibilities
Provide individual, couples, family, and group psychotherapy under supervision. Conduct intake evaluations, risk assessments, and diagnostic formulation. Administer, score, and interpret psychological assessments (e.g., WAIS-V, personality and symptom inventories). Participate in
weekly supervision
(≥4 hours) and
didactic seminars
(≥2 hours). Maintain ethical, HIPAA-compliant documentation and professional communication. Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of psychologists and clinical staff. Contribute to case conferences, outcome monitoring, and reflective learning discussions. Optional: Participate in the
Inzinna Research Lab , focusing on integrative psychotherapy process and outcome evaluation.
Qualifications
Enrollment in an
APA- or CPA-accredited doctoral program
in clinical or counseling psychology. Completion of at least
500 direct clinical hours
and readiness for internship as certified by the doctoral program’s Director of Clinical Training. Foundational training in evidence-based therapies (CBT, DBT, ACT, Family Systems, psychodynamic). Strong written and verbal communication skills; cultural humility; and professional maturity. Residency in
New York State
by the start of the internship (for licensure and telehealth compliance).
Compensation & Benefits
Annual stipend of
$35,000 10 days paid personal leave
