Position Overview

Seeking an experienced Healthcare Technology Management (HTM) Director to lead the clinical engineering program for a major healthcare facility in Greensboro, NC. The Director will manage a diverse portfolio of medical equipment, lead technical and supervisory staff, and ensure operational, fiscal, and regulatory excellence across all biomedical services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic and operational leadership for the hospital’s clinical engineering program.
  • Oversee maintenance, repair, and calibration of all medical equipment to ensure safety and compliance.
  • Manage and mentor a team of supervisors and biomedical technicians, fostering performance and development.
  • Lead process improvement initiatives focused on efficiency, service quality, and cost optimization.
  • Partner with hospital executives and clinical leadership to align HTM strategies with patient care priorities.
  • Ensure compliance with CIHQ, DNV, and Joint Commission standards and all applicable regulations.
  • Oversee budgeting, financial management, vendor relationships, and contract negotiations.
  • Drive departmental growth through innovation, technology integration, and continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Biomedical Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum 5 years of management experience in healthcare technology or biomedical services.
  • Proven leadership within a large healthcare system or multi-site environment.
  • Strong understanding of CIHQ, DNV, and Joint Commission (JCAHO) regulatory requirements.
  • Demonstrated success managing budgets, contracts, and vendor performance.
  • Experience leading high-performing teams and developing technical talent.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and decision-making skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • CHTM (Certified Healthcare Technology Manager) or CBET certification.
  • Experience in process improvement, Lean or Six Sigma initiatives.
  • Background in capital planning or healthcare asset management.
