Position Overview
Seeking an experienced Healthcare Technology Management (HTM) Director to lead the clinical engineering program for a major healthcare facility in Greensboro, NC. The Director will manage a diverse portfolio of medical equipment, lead technical and supervisory staff, and ensure operational, fiscal, and regulatory excellence across all biomedical services.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic and operational leadership for the hospital’s clinical engineering program.
- Oversee maintenance, repair, and calibration of all medical equipment to ensure safety and compliance.
- Manage and mentor a team of supervisors and biomedical technicians, fostering performance and development.
- Lead process improvement initiatives focused on efficiency, service quality, and cost optimization.
- Partner with hospital executives and clinical leadership to align HTM strategies with patient care priorities.
- Ensure compliance with CIHQ, DNV, and Joint Commission standards and all applicable regulations.
- Oversee budgeting, financial management, vendor relationships, and contract negotiations.
- Drive departmental growth through innovation, technology integration, and continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Biomedical Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum 5 years of management experience in healthcare technology or biomedical services.
- Proven leadership within a large healthcare system or multi-site environment.
- Strong understanding of CIHQ, DNV, and Joint Commission (JCAHO) regulatory requirements.
- Demonstrated success managing budgets, contracts, and vendor performance.
- Experience leading high-performing teams and developing technical talent.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and decision-making skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- CHTM (Certified Healthcare Technology Manager) or CBET certification.
- Experience in process improvement, Lean or Six Sigma initiatives.
- Background in capital planning or healthcare asset management.
