Compensation: $200K–$240K base + Annual Bonus + Equity

The Opportunity
As Director of Manufacturing & Sustaining Engineering, you’ll be the operational cornerstone guiding the company from FDA approval to commercial scale. You’ll oversee manufacturing, supply chain, and sustaining R&D functions — building the systems and team that will define the company’s next chapter.

Key Responsibilities
Manufacturing & Operations Leadership
- Oversee manufacturing, supply chain, and logistics operations to ensure seamless product delivery.
- Drive process optimization for efficiency, scalability, and cost-effectiveness.
- Partner closely with R&D, production, and commercial teams to ensure smooth product transitions and continuous improvement.
Sustaining R&D
- Lead sustaining engineering efforts to support post-market product enhancements.
- Ensure regulatory compliance and adherence to quality standards across manufacturing processes.
Team Leadership
- Manage and mentor a growing engineering team (currently 4 direct reports).
- Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and operational excellence.
Budgeting & Strategic Resource Management
- Develop and manage departmental budgets.
- Allocate resources and investments based on ROI, scalability, and long-term strategy.
What You Bring
- BS or MS in Engineering (Mechanical, Biomedical, or related field).
- 15+ years of medical device manufacturing experience — ideally in catheter-based or implantable systems (vascular, endoscopic, or similar minimally invasive platforms).
- 5+ years of leadership and people management experience.
- Deep understanding of design for manufacturability, process validation, and supply chain strategy for regulated devices.
- Strong communicator and cross-functional collaborator who can navigate between R&D and operations seamlessly.
