The Sr Warehouse Associate performs receiving, stock keeping, picking, packing, and shipping activities. Also responsible for counter sales, housekeeping, and related quality assurance activities. Exhibits a higher level of responsibility.

Primary Responsibilities:

· Physically handle incoming shipments

· Verify purchased products and enter order receipts into WESCOM as required

· Perform special customer quality assurance inspections when appropriate

· Segregate backorders and place received materials in proper locations

· Pull, pack, weigh and label materials for shipment; prepare bills of lading and express receipts

· Assist in loading trucks

· Prepare local delivery records

· Maintain Return Material Authorization/Credit Memo (RMA/CM) forms pending return of materials

· Inspect returned materials before completing balance of RMA/CM

· Put all materials in correct location

· Sweep/clean warehouse and trucking/parking area

· Assemble/disassemble bins, racks, shelves, and tables as needed

· Administer preventative maintenance programs to delivery vehicles and warehouse equipment

· Record verbal/written complaints from customers

· Sell, assemble and pack over the counter sales

· Assist in handling telephone inquiries/orders directed to the counter

· Maintain counter stock as needed

Job Requirements:

Experience:

Work in warehouse/distribution environment.

Education:

High School Diploma or Equivalent

Skills/Requirements:

· Knowledge of electrical, construction or mechanical products

· Ability to multi-task

· Ability to follow direction

· Basic computer skills

· Strong written and verbal communication skills

· Attention to detail

· Ability to work in a team

· Ability to prepare for emerging customer needs

Working Environment:

Warehouse - Work is generally performed in a warehouse environment. The noise level is moderately quiet. Employees may be exposed to all kinds of weather and may be required to wear protective clothing. Operates heavy equipment. Strict safety regulations may be required.

Physical Requirements:

· Lift heavy packages up to 50 pounds

· Excessive bending or stooping

· Climb ladders

· Use hand tools

· Operate heavy machinery (e.g., forklift)

Mental Requirements:

· Problem-solving

· Communicate with the public

Additional Information:

Assignment Type: Temp to Perm

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

Overtime: Not Required

PPE Required: Steel Toed Shoes

Pay Details:

$19.00 per hour
