Assist in Press Department to ensure board availability and housekeeping standards are maintained.
All members of the press department are expected to work as a team to ensure standards are met in safety, quality, and productivity.
Demonstrate commitment to safety and perform job duties in accordance with our policies and procedures
Work with warehouse staff and Press Helper to coordinate upcoming jobs
Responsible for compliance with all facility food safety, food defense, and quality policies and procedures including product safety (GMPs)/Sanitation policies and procedures. Employee must continually work to promote the orderliness and cleanliness of their work area in support of SQF/5S and other company standards
Ensure board is available and ready for current and upcoming jobs
Inspect for board quality and communicate any issues to supervisor
Prepare loads for aeration
Aerate loads as needed
Prepare and process waste loads
Use SAP to view pick list and schedules, and notify supervisor of any issues
Keep conveyors stocked with aerated loads
Maintain cleanliness around aerators
Assist with training on new personnel
Assist with all required maintenance
Maintain daily log sheets
Understand how to refresh SAP to view current schedule
Ensure proper communication between shifts
Return unused stock to warehouse
Perform other duties as assigned
Required Skills
Strong mechanical aptitude
Ability to work as part of an effective team
Ability to understand technical written instructions
Frequent lifting and bending
Ability to lift 50 lbs.
Strong computer skills
Strong mathematical skills
Strong attention to detail
Excellent time management skills
Prior printing experience preferred
High school diploma or GED
