Responsibilities
As a CPT I under the supervision of the Laboratory Director or Manager, you will:
- Perform venipuncture on patients of all ages for blood specimen collection.
- Process specimens for microbiology, immunology, hematology, coagulation, urinalysis, chemistry, blood bank, and reference labs.
- Complete computer data entry, filing, and telephone communication.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas, centrifuges, refrigerators, and freezers.
- Assist with specimen pickup, inventory management, ordering supplies, and transporting samples.
- Follow established protocols and policies for specimen processing on automated instrumentation.
- Support additional tasks as assigned by department leadership.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Current and valid California CPT I certification.
- BLS certification maintained within 45 days of hire.
- Minimum of one year of clinical laboratory experience preferred.
- Strong communication skills and professionalism when interacting with patients and team members.
Compensation & Work Schedule
Per Diem – Variable shift. Competitive hourly rate approximately $21.99, with final compensation determined at hiring based on experience, education, and credentials.
