Accounting Assistant – Responsibilities
- Prepare, verify, and process invoices, purchase orders, and expense reports
- Maintain and reconcile accounts receivable ledgers
- Assist with bank reconciliations and month‑end closings
- Enter and maintain accurate financial data in accounting systems
- Support payroll processing and related journal entries
- Research and resolve discrepancies or errors in financial documents
- Assist in preparing financial statements and reports
- Keep organized and up‑to‑date digital and paper records
- Provide clerical and administrative support to the executive team
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and accounting standards
Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred)
- 1–3 years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or finance
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, etc.)
- Strong data entry accuracy and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Analytical mindset and problem‑solving abilities
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Base Pay Range
$50,000.00/yr – $70,000.00/yr
