Accounting Assistant – Responsibilities

  • Prepare, verify, and process invoices, purchase orders, and expense reports
  • Maintain and reconcile accounts receivable ledgers
  • Assist with bank reconciliations and month‑end closings
  • Enter and maintain accurate financial data in accounting systems
  • Support payroll processing and related journal entries
  • Research and resolve discrepancies or errors in financial documents
  • Assist in preparing financial statements and reports
  • Keep organized and up‑to‑date digital and paper records
  • Provide clerical and administrative support to the executive team
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and accounting standards

Qualifications

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred)
  • 1–3 years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or finance
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, etc.)
  • Strong data entry accuracy and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Analytical mindset and problem‑solving abilities
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment

Base Pay Range

$50,000.00/yr – $70,000.00/yr
