Wood Personnel has partnered with a multi-faceted company that specializes in paintless dent repair for vehicles. Other services include dent repair estimates, overspray removal, appraisal, and reconditioning services. They are seeking a qualified Accounting Assistant to join their team. The ideal candidate will be someone reliable with previous experience in Accounts Payable and Receivable and heavy invoicing.

Compensation for the Accounting Assistant

  • $22-23 an hour, depending on experience
  • Monday – Friday, 8 : 00am to 5 : 00pm
  • Medical insurance offered during temporary period
  • Nashville area
  • Temp to Hire

Requirements of the Accounting Assistant

  • Organized and proficient at multi-tasking
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite : Word and Excel
  • Effectively work in a high volume, dynamic, and fast-paced environment
  • Strong working knowledge of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable

Responsibilities of the Accounting Assistant

  • Post vendor invoices accurately and in a timely manner
  • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
  • Attach supporting documentation (e.g., invoices, check images) to AP records
  • Post customer payments, including ACH deposits and checks
  • Assist with collections of outstanding receivables
  • Update internal systems when appraisal payments are received
  • Import and reconcile credit card transactions
  • Ensure timely and accurate entry of expenses
  • Organize and file receipts, invoices, and other financial documents
  • Maintain digital records by attaching images to transactions in the accounting system
  • Assist with the preparation of financial reports as needed
  • Provide support to team members and other departments as required
  • Perform additional duties and assist with associate-level tasks as assigned
