Manufacturing Engineer

As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will design manufacturing processes, procedures, and production layouts for CCA and module assemblies. You will interpret engineering prints to design processes and collaborate with design engineering to implement production improvements. Your role will involve supporting the production floor with a focus on continuous improvement, designing, procuring, and implementing tooling to aid manufacturing processes, and potentially incorporating inspection and test requirements into the production plan.

Responsibilities

• Interpret engineering prints to design efficient manufacturing processes.
• Collaborate with design engineering to implement production improvements.
• Support the production floor by working with the operations team.
• Focus on continuous improvement of manufacturing processes.
• Design, procure, and implement tooling to support manufacturing processes.
• Incorporate inspection and test requirements into the production plan as needed.
• Inspect the performance of machinery, equipment, and tools to verify their efficiency.
• Investigate and initiate corrective action for problems and deficiencies to ensure product quality.
• Provide guidance to engineering regarding design concepts and specification requirements.
• Ensure compliance of processes and procedures with regulations and specifications.

Essential Skills

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in general assembly.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD with at least 1 year of experience.
• Blueprint reading skills with at least 1 year of experience.
• Cable harness expertise with at least 1 year of experience.
• Wire harness print reading skills with at least 1 year of experience.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with circuit cards, surface mount technology, and J-STD-001 is beneficial.

Work Environment

The work schedule is Monday through Thursday, from 5:00 AM to 3:30 PM EST. Candidates must be able to read and write English proficiently, walk up and down stairs, and lift at least 20 lbs.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Oldsmar, Florida.

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $43.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
