Position Purpose
We are seeking a motivated and hands‑on Housekeeping Supervisor to oversee daily operations of the housekeeping team. This role ensures that all guest rooms and public spaces are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness, presentation, and guest satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and inspect guest rooms, public areas, and back‑of‑house spaces for cleanliness and quality.
- Inspect the work of a team of Room Attendants and House Attendants responsible for the cleaning and upkeep of a specific area of the hotel. Train and coach the staff.
- Schedule work to be done daily and monitor each Room Attendant’s daily progress. Inspect complete rooms to ensure that all standards have been met. When standards have been missed, it brings employees back to the room to correct the deficiency. Coordinate work orders in the assigned section, follow up to be sure work is completed, and release checkout rooms to be sold.
- Monitor the performance of House Attendants. Assure that there are sufficient supplies on the guest floors. Check cleanliness of guest corridors, stairwells, elevators and linen closets.
- Communicate effectively with Front Office and Engineering regarding room status and maintenance issues.
- Execute inventories of linens and all housekeeping supplies.
- Work harmoniously and professionally with co‑workers and supervisors.
Requirements
- Previous supervisory experience in hotel housekeeping required.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Eye for detail and commitment to quality standards.
- Proficiency with housekeeping management systems preferred.
- Flexible availability to include weekends and holidays.
