Job Summary

Houston Skilled Consultancy is seeking dedicated and hardworking Utility Workers to support civil construction projects. The Utility Worker will play a vital role in ensuring smooth site operations by performing a variety of manual labor tasks, including site preparation, material handling, equipment assistance, and general maintenance. This role is ideal for individuals who thrive in outdoor work environments, enjoy teamwork, and are eager to contribute to the successful completion of infrastructure projects such as roads, bridges, and building works.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in site preparation, excavation, trenching, and backfilling as directed.
• Perform manual labor such as lifting, carrying, and moving construction materials and equipment.
• Support skilled tradespeople (e.g., carpenters, masons, welders) during construction tasks.
• Operate basic hand tools and assist in setting up and dismantling temporary site structures.
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety of the worksite.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and immediately report hazards to supervisors.
• Perform utility-related duties such as water line digging, pipe laying assistance, or site drainage tasks.
• Provide general support to supervisors and construction teams as needed.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Basic understanding of construction processes and site safety protocols.
• Physically fit and able to perform manual labor, including lifting heavy objects.
• Ability to follow instructions and work under the supervision of site managers.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Reliability, punctuality, and a positive work attitude.

Experience

• Previous experience in civil construction, utility work, or general labor is an advantage but not mandatory.
• Freshers with a willingness to learn and work hard will be considered.

Working Hours

• Full-time position with standard site working hours (8–10 hours daily).
• Overtime or weekend work may be required depending on project deadlines.
