Overview OPS Consulting is seeking an experienced Software Engineer to work in Hanover, MD. The team focuses on mission-critical operations with a history of expertise in national security and technology solutions.
Responsibilities Experience developing applications using programming languages: C, C++, C#, Java, Python, and related scripting languages.
Experience developing in Windows and UNIX operating environments.
Implement DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines using tools like Artifactory, Docker, Terraform, Ansible, Packer, Jenkins and Bamboo.
Recommend and evaluate new technologies and processes for complex projects.
Analyze user requirements to determine software design and performance specifications.
Design and implement complex algorithms and database interfaces/queries.
Manage the integration of legacy software systems, troubleshoot and resolve issues.
Make recommendations for optimizing overall performance.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, system engineers, and hardware engineers to define requirements and integration strategies.
Experience leading teams, delegating tasks and monitoring performance.
Requirements Minimum fourteen (14) years experience as a Software Engineer in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity.
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field. Equivalent work experience may be considered.
Expert-level proficiency in one or more programming language (C, C++, C#, Java, Python).
Strong experience in Windows and UNIX development.
Deep knowledge of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines and associated tools.
Security Clearance A current government clearance, background investigation, and polygraph are required.

Compensation Pay Range: $49,996.80 - $290,004.00
Pay ranges are a general guideline and not a guaranteed final compensation. Determination of official compensation relies on factors including level of position, responsibilities, location, experience, education, certifications, and contract wage rates.
