Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Senior Staff Accountant to join our Santa Monica team. You will support full-cycle accounting for our three revenue segments, ensuring accurate financial reporting and timely month-end closes (targeted within 10 days, typically completed in 15). This role requires strong collaboration within our close-knit team and a proactive approach to managing accounts payable, vendor relationships, and financial reconciliations.

Responsibilities

• Perform journal entries, general ledger reconciliations, and month-end close processes
• Conduct daily bank reconciliations to ensure accurate cash flow tracking
• Prepare and consolidate financial statements for multiple entities, analyzing variances to support business decisions
• Utilize Excel (Pivot Tables, V-Lookups) to create reports and streamline financial processes
• Support annual audits by compiling schedules and maintaining organized financial records

Must-Have Qualifications

• 3+ years of accounting experience, with expertise in journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close processes
• Strong accounts payable experience, including vendor management and customer service
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables and V-Lookups

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
• Experience with foreign currency transactions or international accounting
• Knowledge of tax preparation and compliance
