Human Resources Officer

Overview: The Human Resources Officer will support, advise and coach line managers on operational HR issues, provide operational support, drive recruitment strategy, and champion employee engagement across the business.

Key Accountabilities

• Support, advise and coach managers on operational HR issues, including discipline, grievance, terms and conditions, policies, procedures and employment legislation.
• Assist Business Divisions in managing and reducing sickness absence.
• Support the Property Department with store acquisitions, disposals and closures to ensure relevant people processes are carried out efficiently, effectively and legally compliant.
• Provide periodic business updates of HR activity aligned to the Key Performance Indicators.
• Work in conjunction with the Training & Development team to design and deliver bespoke training solutions.
• Actively engage with management teams to champion colleague engagement across the business.
• Support the company’s recruitment strategy.

Qualifications & Experience

• Full UK Driving Licence – essential.
• HR/CIPD/Business Degree or equivalent – essential.
• Logical and creative thinking to solve problems and make decisions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to build strong working relationships.
• Demonstrates integrity, a strong work ethic and understands confidentiality.
