About this Job The Director, New Business Development – Consumer Panel position plays a critical role within NielsenIQ’s (NIQ) Omni Sales Team to support NIQ’s Consumer Panel Services strategic growth goals. You will be responsible for securing new customers by performing all sales activities and account management, from lead generation, to close, through to fulfillment for prospects. In addition to generating leads, there will be periodically defined targets of specific client(s) strategically important to NIQ’s growth goals. These will be defined in partnership with the direct supervisor, Vice President, Consumer Panel Services Sales. Using a consultative selling approach, this individual will match NielsenIQ Consumer Panel Services (Omnishopper Panel including Survey, Custom Analysis, Disaggregated Data Extracts, Reports, etc.) products and services to client needs in order to achieve total client satisfaction and team financial objectives.
Responsibilities
Meet or exceed revenue target
Execute against sales initiatives: attend trade shows, perform cold-call lead generation, conduct marketing campaigns to identify potential clients, qualify and generate sales, and conduct software demos
Self-starter to pro-actively prospect the marketplace to expand our client base and drive repeat purchases with occasional buyers
Use a consultative selling approach to identify client business need, qualify, probe, scope and sell in NielsenIQ services
Execute end-to-end sales process from feasibility analysis; including pricing, negotiating terms, writing proposals, and closing the sale
Coordinate activities with other Omni Sales Team internal partners, including but not limited to Sales Consultants, Thought Leadership Directors, and Data Modeling Team
Develop and manage relationships with 100-300 unique clients and prospects
Manage client relationship and sales efforts with recurring ad-hoc clients by promptly answering client questions regarding data quality, service offering and product delivery
Manage multiple projects simultaneously
Become proficient in NielsenIQ services, systems, and software tools
Participate in team projects
Conduct revenue forecasting on respective client base
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or higher
5-8+ years’ consultative selling experience to the CPG manufacturing and/or retail industries
NielsenIQ, Numerator and/or Circana (IRI) data or other panel data experience preferred
Proven leadership skills
Positive attitude - glass is always half full
Willingness to travel to remote client locations (10-15% depending on needs)
Enjoy ambiguity and complex business challenges
Positive team member through all stages of sales cycle
Aggressive self-starter, able to quickly adapt to changing environments
Ability to prioritize and demonstrate relentless discipline in achieving goals
Familiarity with NielsenIQ tools, applications, and platforms a plus

Additional Information This role has a market-competitive salary with an anticipated base compensation of the following range: $117,250.00 - $150,000.00. Actual salaries will vary depending on a candidate’s experience, qualifications, skills, and location. This role might also be eligible for a sales-based incentive or performance-based bonus.
