Description Lead clinical operations for Franklin’s four primary care practices, working closely with senior leadership and practice leaders to oversee day‑to‑day operations and operational excellence.
Minimum Qualifications
MD or DO (or successful completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant program)
Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in a primary care setting
Previous applicable leadership experience in a primary or related healthcare setting
Current license issued by the State of Maine or eligible for licensure
Skills & Competencies
Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment
Expertise in quality improvement, patient safety, and evidence‑based practices
In‑depth knowledge of healthcare regulations, patient care standards, and hospital operations
Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to implement practical solutions in a high‑pressure environment
Key Responsibilities
Operations : Provide oversight of clinical operations of the practice(s) and associated outreach locations, focusing on budget planning, patient visits and call schedules, clinical protocols, and interface with EPIC workflows.
Supervision : Direct oversight and management of physicians and advanced practice professionals, including mentoring, performance reviews, and peer review.
Quality/Safety : Promote quality projects and implement safety programs to mitigate risk.
Planning/Outreach : Grow and expand clinical services strategically, recruiting additional sites and expanding care teams.
Education : Promote and support education of care team members, learners, and new physicians and APPs in the practice.
Leadership Development : Actively develop Associate Medical Directors to their effective leadership potential.
System Participation : Represent the LHS for primary care, participating in PSCS and other leadership groups.
