Senior AI/Cloud Architect . This long-term contract role supports the Department of Human Services (DHS) and focuses on advanced cloud engineering, DevOps, and AI tool development within the Microsoft stack.The ideal candidate will be a
Pennsylvania
with expertise in
.NET, Azure, PowerShell , and experience working with
AI/ML tools
such as GitHub Copilot, RAG, and cloud- services. This position is primarily remote but requires the ability to be onsite in
Harrisburg, PA
at least
two days per month
(with occasional additional days as requested). Responsibilities:
Design and develop cloud- tools leveraging AI/ML technologies, including GitHub Copilot, Retrieval-Augmented (RAG), and intelligent agents
Architect and manage CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure using Azure DevOps, Git, Docker, Kubernetes, and Azure Functions
Write, test, and maintain automation scripts using PowerShell
Develop and maintain secure, scalable .NET/C# applications
Collaborate with internal and government stakeholders to ensure project delivery and alignment with technical standards
Provide system documentation, testing, and support throughout the software development lifecycle
Required Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience with
.NET and C#
Minimum 2 years of experience with
Microsoft Azure , Git, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes, and Function Apps
Minimum 2 years of experience writing
PowerShell scripts
Experience with AI tools and technologies including GitHub Copilot, RAG, or AI agents
Strong communication skills and ability to work independently in a remote team environment
Must be a
U.S.
and legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
Must be a
of Pennsylvania
and available to work onsite in
Harrisburg, PA

Experience:
Test automation tools such as Playwright or MCP
Azure Event Hubs or Kafka for cloud messaging
Database modeling and design experience in enterprise environments
