Pay Range:
$61.93 - $65.68 per hour
Responsibilities:
Plumbing project installations.
Project planning and review.
Cost estimation and oversight of project budget.
Maintenance and repairs on hospital piping systems – domestic water, building heating, medical gas.
Operations and maintenance of pumps, backflow preventers, heat exchangers, valves, traps, and fixtures.
Ensure all installations and maintenance activities comply with applicable codes.
Assist other staff with general maintenance functions as needed.
Direct work of less skilled plumber(s) and maintenance staff on projects as part of a collaborative team.
Required Qualifications:
Backflow certification within 6 months (180 days) of hire.
5 years in construction field reading blueprints, plumbing diagrams, installing plumbing components and performing preventive maintenance on all plumbing equipment.
4 years of journey-level experience as a plumber.
Preferred Qualifications:
Med Gas certification (must obtain within 1 year of hire).
5 years of knowledge of plumbing codes in acute care facilities.
