Qualifications
Master’s degree in Statistics, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Economics, Operations Research, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
10 years of experience using analytics to solve product or business problems, coding (e.g., Python, R, SQL), querying databases or statistical analysis, or 8 years of experience with a PhD degree.
PhD degree in Quantitative fields is preferred.
12 years of experience using analytics to solve product or business problems, or 10 years experience with a PhD degree.
Ability to lead and self‑direct, along with the ability to learn and teach new techniques.
Excellent skills in selecting statistical tools for data analysis problems.
Excellent communication skills.
Responsibilities
Work with large, complex data sets to solve difficult, non‑routine analysis problems using advanced analytical methods.
Build and prototype analysis pipelines for insights and develop an understanding of Google data structures and metrics.
Interact cross‑functionally with teams and individuals and collaborate with engineers to identify, design, and assess improvements for Google products.
Make business recommendations through presentations to stakeholders, leveraging visual displays of quantitative information for cost‑benefit, forecasting, and experiment analysis.
Research and develop analysis, forecasting, and optimization methods to enhance Google’s user‑facing products.
Compensation The US base salary range for this full‑time position is $248,000–$349,000 plus bonus, equity, and benefits.
