Plastic Surgeon Opening in Northern California with Kaiser Permanente Leading the future of health care

Kaiser Permanente / The Permanente Medical Group Plastic Surgeon Opening in Walnut Creek, California We are a 4.0 FTE plastic surgeon department based in the Walnut Creek Kaiser Permanente facility. We provide reconstructive plastic surgery services for the entire Diablo Service Area with routine scheduled OR blocks in Walnut Creek and Dublin. We have 3 part‑time physician assistants who assist in the OR and clinic settings.

We cover on‑call responsibilities for Walnut Creek, Antioch emergency rooms, and urgent care centers throughout Diablo 24/7 1 week at a time and rotate between 4 plastic surgeons (approximately 1 week each month). We create our call schedule in the fall for the following calendar year.

Most of our work involves breast (and other) cancer reconstruction, skin cancer treatment and reconstruction, Transgender top surgery, complications from cosmetic surgery, and general reconstruction. We are expanding our microvascular breast program and would benefit from expertise with complex lower extremity and groin/pelvic reconstruction including microvascular coverage procedures. A micro fellowship with interest and experience in these areas will be very beneficial.

We host physician assistant student and 3rd year medical student rotations. Opportunities for research and leadership are available and clinical care responsibilities are fully utilized.
