Greenlife Healthcare Staffing is seeking an Adult Psychiatrist to fill an opening in the KernBHRS department that provides specialty behavioral health services to Medi-Cal recipients and uninsured, located in Kern County, CA.
Requirements
Board Certification/Eligibility in General Psychiatry
American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN) certified
California Medical License: Active status with no disciplinary actions
DEA Certification: Required for antipsychotics and long-acting injectables (e.g., clozapine)
Schedule
Full-Time (FTE) : Shift: 8-hour day.
Part-Time (PTE) : Shift: 6 hours (e.g., 8:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m., excluding breaks).
Benefits
The salary for this position is $210/hr.

Job Description Adult Psychiatrists manage treatment-resistant schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and severe depression in outpatient and acute care settings. This role includes forensic responsibilities such as LPSAct evaluations and testimony in conservatorship hearings.
Responsibilities
Prescribe and monitor clozapine therapy for treatment-resistant schizophrenia, including ANC monitoring and titration protocols.
Lead biweekly multidisciplinary team meetings to coordinate care for high utilizers of crisis stabilization services.
Complete capacity assessments for gravely disabled patients under Welfare & Institutions Code 5150/5250.
Utilize long-acting injectables (LAIs) for medication non-adherence, including aripiprazole once-monthly and paliperidone palmitate.
